Parent Governor Election
Information about the election and the candidates is now avaliable. Deadline for voting is 7th February at 4 pm.
Dear Parent(s) / Carer(s)
The vacancy for a Parent Governor in the Governing Body of The Cardinal Wiseman Catholic School was recently advertised via the school’s website and our December Newsletter.
On 9th January 2012, a letter and a Nomination Form were sent to all parents of a registered pupil at the school to either nominate themselves or to nominate another parent; the deadline for the receipt of nominations was Monday, 16th January 2012.
As a result, two parents submitted their Nomination Paper within the deadline and, since the number of nominations received exceeds the number of vacancies available, a Parent Governor Election needs to be held.
For this purpose, the Nominees were asked to submit a Statement to be circulated to all parents.
On Tuesday 31st January 2012, at morning Tutor, all pupils will be given to take home an envelope containing the following:
- An Election Booklet containing an explanatory letter and the Candidates’ Statements
- 2 Ballot Papers
- 2 envelopes
Those families whose parents/carers are registered at our school with two separate addresses will be sent the above documents individually.
We recommend all parents read the letter and the Candidates’ Statements. These documents will be also available on the school’s website. Click Here
Parents should record their vote on the Ballot Paper as indicated (e.g. by placing a cross against the name of the candidate for whom they wish to vote). Parents should not make any mark on the ballot paper by which they could be identified. The completed Ballot Paper should be placed in the envelope provided and then sealed.
Ballots should be returned to the school, either by pupil post, Royal Mail or personal delivery. A Ballot Box will be located in the School’s Reception for all votes to be placed in.
The deadline for the receipt of Ballot Papers is
Tuesday 7th February 2012 - 4pm
On behalf of The Cardinal Wiseman Catholic School’s Governing Body, I would like to thank you for participating in the Parent Governor Election process.
