The Cardinal Wiseman Catholic School

Headteacher's Letter to Parents

I am writing to you at the end of what has been a stellar 2017 for our school community.

Student outcomes and progress are at an outstanding level and the vibrancy of the community is reflected in the school’s Twitter feed (which can be viewed without having to join Twitter) over recent months.

We will be sad to say farewell to Nelle Carty-Dalton who has been a fantastic Chaplain for us, along with Mrs Hamilton who has contributed so much through Media Studies.  We also say farewell to Ms Corcoran who has been a brilliant support for Nelle since September.

The arrangements for Friday, 15th December will see students attending school in the morning only.  They will be allowed to wear their own clothes and will be released following their Advent/Christmas Service in Our Lady of the Visitation Church.  There will be no lunch service.  (Christmas lunch for students will be on Wednesday, 13th December).

We return to school for the Spring Term on Tuesday, 2nd January at the normal start time of 8.50am.

Finally, I hope that you might be able to join us this evening (Mon, 11th Dec), 6pm to 7pm, for our Advent and Carols Service in Our Lady of the Visitation Church, followed by refreshments in Cardinal Wiseman School.

Thank you for your continued support of our school and I wish you all a joyful and peaceful Christmas period.
