The Cardinal Wiseman Catholic School

Year 9 and 10 Public Speaking Competitions.

After a hugely popular training day back in October, the four Year 9 and four Year 10 Public Speaking winners performed their speeches in Year 9 and 10 assemblies last week. All students were fantastic and both audiences showed real maturity when hearing the speeches.

After a hugely popular training day back in October, the four Year 9 and four Year 10 Public Speaking winners performed their speeches in Year 9 and 10 assemblies last week. All students were fantastic and both audiences showed real maturity when hearing the speeches. The students who took part were: (Year 9) Anita Edwards, Sebri Addous, Ophelia Booth and Martin Gwillim. (Year 10) Tomas Tchalkian, Jack Lambert, Sabrina Kempt and Patrick Moseley.

Each tutor group discussed with their tutor as to who the winner should be. In Year 9, Sebri Addous was the winner and in Year 10, Jack Lambert with Tomas Tchalkian as runner up. Jack will represent Cardinal Wiseman in the Ealing Borough final of the Jack Petchey ‘Speak Out’ Challenge on January 19th 2011 at Brentside High School. Tomas may also get a chance to do his speech. These were two very special competitions. Well done to everyone involved.
