Y12 Induction PGL trip on Friday 7th September
As part of their induction we are taking Y12 pupils on an outward bound visit to PGL, Surrey where students will be participating in a multi-activity programme. The aim of this day is to encourage students to develop their communication, teamwork and leadership skills. It will also help to increase confidence and self-esteem as well as foster a positive attitude to new challenges and adventure. It is hoped that this day will allow Sixth Form students to bond as a year group as well as have fun at the beginning of this new chapter in their lives.
Students will be departing from school at 7.30 by coach and will arrive back in Greenford at approximately 5pm. Lunch will be provided by the PGL Centre (Marchants Hill). Students do not need to have any special clothing or equipment, they simply need to wear trainers, jeans or similar and long sleeved tops. The Sixth Form team will be accompanying the students.
The Head teacher and the Governing Body have very kindly offered to subsidise this trip because they value the importance of wider learning and are committed to supporting the Sixth Form’s enrichment programme. As a result, instead of paying £44.50, the cost will be £14.50 per child. This is excellent value for money, this cost covers travel, insurance, lunch and four physical activities.
Due to technical difficulties of moving into a new building the registration for Paypal (the payment method) has not yet taken place, therefore students do not need to pay before tomorrow. Details will be given to parents once this system is operational.
