French and Spanish GCSE Assessment

Students will be completing their final controlled assessment in French and Spanish the week commencing 4th March. Read more for details of the assessment and of extra revision sessions beginning in March

Students will be completing their final controlled assessment in French and Spanish the week commencing 4th March. All students have extensive materials in either their exercise books or on paper in preparation for this assessment. The topic we have been studying is ‘The Environment’ and will be worth 15 % of their final GCSE grade in French / Spanish. During the half-term break, it is advised that students spend at least 45 minutes per day studying their notes and listening to any recordings that may have been done for them by the French / Spanish language assistants.

French and Spanish revision classes commence Friday 1st March. The sessions will take place every Friday morning from 8.30 – 9.15 until mid-May. Students are expected to arrive on time, equipped with their revision booklets and pens and pencils. A note will be written into students’ diaries next week.
