Year 11 Revision and exams

Further information for Year 11 regarding revision and exams

Further information regarding the Year 11 exams:

  • Timetabled Lessons:

As you know, the usual timetable of lessons does not run during the exam period; the students’ full timetable will cease on 9th May as the exams start on 12th May.  However, there are a large number of vital classes which will continue to run in preparation for the exams.  The students are being informed about these and texts will be sent home to keep you informed.  These lessons are compulsory and we would appreciate your support in ensuring your son/daughter attends these lessons.

  • Supervised Study Areas:

Year 11 students are allowed to leave the school site in between exams and timetabled lessons.  For those students who wish to remain on site to revise, we have allocated the Dining Hall which will be a supervised study area.  If students wish to use this facility, they must ensure that they bring the appropriate revision and work resources.

  • Full School Uniform:

The students are expected to wear full school uniform whenever they are on the school site, whether attending extra lessons, completing work or sitting exams.

  • Revision support:

As mentioned in previous letters, the Exam Timetable, Revision Guidance Booklets and the full range of resources for each subject can be found here and on Frog.

I would also like to take this opportunity to not only wish the Year 11 students the best of luck for their forthcoming exams but to also congratulate them on the commitment shown so far towards their studies.  I would also like to thank you for your continued support.
