A Prayer for the New Year

Here we are at the start of a new school year, re-energised by our time away and ready to start a fresh on our Journey.

As we return from our Holiday we turn to God to set us off for the new School year.

So here we are at the start of a new school year, re-energised by our time away and ready to start a fresh on our Journey. It is only right then that we turn to God, united in Prayer and also united as a community. It is always important at times like these to remember our standing as a family and a community that has come together in a shared faith in Christ and a desire for education and growth. Within our school, it is important that we pray for one another, for all our students, staff and parents, and also our wider local community and our brothers and sisters throughout the world. I am sure that many of you are aware of the missing Brentside Student Alice Gross, we pray for her and her family and all those at the school. And we also pray for all those who over the summer have suffered at the hands of religious extremists in the Middle East, we pray that they can all find peace and that reconciliation can be achieved. So as we start afresh we turn to God and pray the following prayer:

Prayer

Lord at the start of this new school year we pray you be with us, in the highs and the lows be the rock that we receive support. Unite us as a family and a community in your name, may your spirit flow through us so that this school and this environment can be both a loving and enriching place for all who enter into it. And we pray this in Christ's name,

Amen.
