Exegesis

Calling all artists, photographers, sculptors, musicians, crafters, dancers, and others who like to express themselves through any artistic medium.

Calling all artists, photographers, sculptors, musicians, crafters, dancers, and others who like to express themselves through any artistic medium.

In June, The Library will be staging Exegesis*, an exhibition of art work produced by members of the wider Wiseman Community.

During the past few months we have been writing to well known individuals asking them to tell us about a passage or section of a novel which has significant meaning for them. We have received well over 30 responses, made up of passages from a wide selection of classical and popular authors .

We are looking for members of our community who would like to produce a piece of art based around one of these passages. Contributions will be exhibited conventionally or in some cases through the use of audio/visual technology.

Students and staff interested in taking part in this exciting project or would like to have more information please call into the Library and speak to one of us. Parents, grandparents, alumni etc may like to call the Librarians on 0208 575 8222 Ext 444

*An exegesis is an explanation or interpretation of a text that draws meaning from it.
