Education Officers Visit to Year 8

On Wednesday 21st January, Education Officers from the London Fire Service gave a lively presentation to Year 8 students on the most common causes of fire in the home and what to do should a fire break out. Students also learned about the importance of smoke alarms; how to remain safe when cooking in the kitchen and how to avoid electrical fires in the home. Most students agreed that the visit from the Fire Service taught them important information and they would think about fire safety in future. The afternoon was made even more entertaining as our own students were involved in role plays: Harrison Ditchburn, John Moynes, Christy Tamoush and Roxanna Yaghoob to name a few students. We would like to thank Ruth Lawrence from the Fire Service for sharing her knowledge and good advice.
