Year 9 Students will be having an internal Science assessment, taking place during lessons on Friday 22nd April.

B Half – Period 3

ALL pupils will be tested on everything studied since the start of Year 9. The topics studied so far are:

  • Variation and Inheritance, Respiration, Photosynthesis, Leaves and Photosynthesis, Staying Healthy
  • Atoms, Elements and Balancing Equations, RFM and Reacting Masses, Atomic structure and Isotopes, Electron configuration, Periodic Table
  • Speed and Acceleration, Motion and Graphs, Force and Acceleration, Work and Power, Wave motion
  • The Nervous system, Metals and non-metals, Potential difference, current and resistance, Energy flow

All internal assessment grades are considered when resetting takes place. You will be informed of all test result grades through the Progress Grades at the end of this Summer term.
