Year 12 UCAS Evening rescheduled to 2nd March at 6pm
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your understanding with regards to the postponement of our UCAS evening, due to a power cut in school, on Thursday 2nd February.
I am pleased to announce that I have rescheduled this evening to Thursday 2nd March at 6pm.
This evening will be a valuable opportunity to find out how UCAS works, why apply to university in the first place, the financial implications and how you can help your child with their application. Ms Somrah will be outlining how the Sixth Form team will guide and support your child as well as providing you with the timescale for when university applications are due in. Ms Somrah will also introduce you to Mrs Sowa, our specialist UCAS and Enrichment Advisor who will explain how she helps students with this whole process. Furthermore there will be information available on Oxbridge applications. There has been much news about universities and fees in the press, this evening will attempt to make sense of it all!
This evening is primarily aimed at parents, students will receive this information through school assemblies, tutor time and workshops. However should they wish to attend, they are more than welcome.
The evening will begin with a presentation at 6pm followed by questions and the Sixth Form team will be on hand to provide advice. If you arrive early, there will be refreshments in the dining area from 5.30pm.
I really look forward to seeing you on the night.
If you have any questions about this evening please contact Mrs Sowa on 0208 575 8222 ext. 521.
