Changes to the Code of Conduct
We would like to remind students and parents/carers that we have made updates to the 'Code of Conduct'.
Arrangements for Start of Term
Thursday 2nd September 2010
Year 7 arrive for a normal 8.50 start. At 2.20pm they will go to the Visitation Church for a family mass. All children will be collected by parents from the Church at the end of Mass.

West London Cluster Chess Tournament 2010.
We are very proud of: Bosa Weluche-Ume (Year 11), Andrew Foote (Year 11) and Simon Morris (Year 8). Each of these students joined with four students from Acton High School to form an Ealing Chess group. The students took part in a full day tournament at Winston Churchill Hall in Ruislip on Thursday 10th June 2010.

Advent Homeless Appeal

Mr Wotherspoon recently set up a St. Vincent de Paul Group in the school with some of our Year 10s. For those who haven't heard of SVP before, the aim of the group is to "turn concern into action" by offering practical help to those in need in the local community.
Debating Club News
Congratulations to our Lower School Debating Team who took part in the Cambridge Schools’ Debating Competition at Latymer Upper School on Wednesday 11th November 2009.
Sixth Form Open Evening Thursday 12th November 6 - 8pm
All Year 11 students are invited to attend our Open Evening on Thursday 12th November. This evening will provide a valuable opportunity to find out what AS Level courses are available and how the Cardinal Wiseman Sixth Form can help students to reach their full potential.
Debating and Public Speaking.
On Friday October 23rd 2009, 35 of our Gifted and Talented students in years 7-9 were trained in school by the English Speaking Union. Our students were given the necessary skills in order to debate at competition level.

All students will return to school on Monday 2nd November 2009 after the half term break. School will open at the normal time.

Year 9 Visit to the Somme
On Saturday 23rd May, 43 Year 9 students plus 5 members of staff will head off to France and Belgium for the annual History trip to the Somme and Flanders.
Sixth Form Ball
On Friday 8th May over 160 Sixth Form students descended upon Brunel University for their annual ball.
Senior Choir will be performing at the O2 Arena on April 1st.
The Senior Choir of Cardinal Wiseman has been selected to perform at the London wide Young Citizens Assembly at the O2 arena.
Rotary Youth Speaks Regional Final.
Our year 9 public speaking team went to the City of London School for boys on Saturday March 28th, 2009 for the intermediate regional final of the Rotary Youth Speaks Competition.
