What if I find the work too hard?

Everyone will have a textbook to take home in History. This textbook has been chosen especially to suit your ability. There are also different worksheets and activities to help you understand the topic as well as support from the SEN department. History teachers can also advise on suitable websites that provide more information on the topic you are currently studying, e.g. The Learning Curve website, provided by the National Archives.

What if I find the work too easy?

There will be plenty of extension tasks to keep you busy! You will be given challenging textbooks to help you reach your full potential. Students who are on the Able and Talented spectrum are given extra tasks in lessons to help them stretch themselves. Students aiming for an A* in GCSE History attend a weekly club to learn how to attain that particular grade. ‘A’ Level students who want to challenge their learning and research skills can create their own Personal Study on a topic of their choice, that counts towards their final grade.
