Years 7-11

Years 7, 8 and 9
Key Stage 3

All pupils study a common curriculum which follows the National Curriculum. Subjects are designated either Core or Foundation.
 
The Core subjects are:
  • RE;
  • English;
  • Mathematics;
  • Science.
 
Foundation subjects are:
  • Art, Music, Drama;
  • French, Spanish;
  • PE;
  • Geography, History;
  • Design Technology, Food Technology, Textiles;
  • ICT;
  • Personal, Social & Health Education (PSHE).
 

Years 10 and 11
Key Stage 4

 All pupils begin two-year examination courses in the following Core subjects:
  • RE;
  • English;
  • Mathematics;
  • Science.
 
Pupils also follow courses in PE and Progression Pathways which includes careers guidance.
 
In addition, pupils follow three subjects chosen from a structured set of options. These include:
 
  • History, Geography
  • French, Spanish
  • Business Studies
  • Design Technology, Food Technology, Textiles;
  • Art, Drama, Music
  • Physical Education (Examination)
  • Information Technology 
  • Travel & Tourism
  • Hospitality and Catering

Post 16

In the Sixth Form there is a broad range of academic and vocational courses. We offer Level 3 qualifications in AS/A Levels and BTECs. Our courses allow students to progress either onto university or employment. Please see the Sixth Form section of the website for more information on the subjects offered.
