Outstanding GCSE results for Year 11

Our Year 11 students have achieved excellent outcomes again this year. The percentage of students achieving 9-4 (this would be the equivalent to A*-C in 2016) in English was 90%. In Mathematics 85% reached 9-4.
These results were fully deserved, for a year group who demonstrated considerable ability and an outstanding work ethic. This is reflected in fifty students achieving eight or more 7-9 grades (this would be the equivalent to A*/A in 2016), despite a significant reduction in the number of higher grades awarded. Amongst the outstanding performances were the eleven students listed below whose grades were almost universally Grade 9’s (A* in 2016).
