Year 11 Parents' Information
Parents' Information Evening for Year 11 is on Thursday 7th September at 6pm.
In order to ensure that your child achieves to their full potential, we would like to present to you an outline of the following:
• Overview of the assessments, pre-public exams and formal examination procedures for the year
• Revision and exam preparation
• Support at home and at school for your child
Feedback from previous parental surveys indicated that parents would like the opportunity to engage more actively in their child’s education and be aware of when they may need additional support at home.
Year 11 is a crucial year and for many students and their parents, it can become a stressful time. Having a conversation with your son or daughter about what they enjoy, what they are good at, what motivates them to learn, the environment they want to be in and their preferred learning style can be the key to their success.
Information will be presented from both the English and Mathematics departments on how your child can make the best progress possible this year. There will also be information about choices that are available to them after their GCSE’s and how best to make an informed decision about post-16 education options.
We hope that you will be able attend this important meeting. Students do not need to attend.
