Coronavirus (COVID-19): latest information and advice.
You may be aware that government advice regarding coronavirus has changed and now extends to people who have recently visited Northern Italy, Iran, South Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar. These countries and areas are in addition to China, Thailand, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and Macau. The full advice is available at Coronavirus (COVID-19): latest information and advice and we ask all members of our school community to follow the official guidance.
With particular regard to the advice on travellers from Northern Italy, please consult the attached map and note the following:
Anybody who has recently visited any of the towns currently in lockdown in Northern Italy should stay at home, even if they show no signs of symptoms.
Anybody who has recently returned from any other areas of Italy north of Pisa should self-isolate for 14 days if they show flu-like symptoms.
The quarantined towns in Italy are Bertonico, Casalpusterlengo, Castelgerundo, Castiglione d'Adda, Codogno, Fombio, Maleo, San Fiorano, Somaglia, Terranova dei Passerini - all in Lodi province in Lombardy - and Vo' Euganeo in Padova province, Veneto.
We shall continue to follow the latest advice from the UK Government and Public Health England and will of course update you via email as and when necessary.
