There was an impressive range of investigations on display in the science fair. The judging panel of Mr Dann, Dr Marshall, Mr Wilkinson and Mr Brown chose the following projects as being particularly outstanding:
- 1st prize - Extracting DNA - Ciara Gibbs, Alecia Khouri, Emily O'Shea
- 2nd prize– The Effect of different music on plant growth - Vera Baiden, Daniela Tiwo
- 3rd – The Effectiveness of mouthwash in killing bacteria - Otiti Oboh, Cassina Subero, Christina Amofa
- 4th – The Effect of different foods on speed of a hamster – Kayleigh Keohane, Aisling Deehan, Reuben Luke
Congratulations to these winning teams and well done for all of year 8 for taking part in this year’s science fair.
