A group of year 10 students arrived back in school on Monday windswept and weather beaten after their Duke of Edinburgh Expedition over the weekend. They left for the Isle of Purbeck near Swanage on Friday arriving back on Sunday. Many were out walking along a very picturesque ridge way; others got the opportunity to see geographical coastal formations like 'old Harry's rock' on their route. A few got a chance to look around the medieval ruin, Corfe Castle.
The students coped well with sometimes difficult weather conditions - including putting up their tents in the dark and through high wind speeds!
Despite the weather, the Year 10 Duke of Edinburgh group did very well in this weekend's assessment. They were a credit to the school.
