I would like to wish all Year 13 students and their families a very restful Christmas break and a happy new year. I have been very impressed with how hard all students have been working over the past term in particular. UCAS applications are approaching completion and many students are making maximum use of the Sixth Form Study Centre; which is always open before school from 7.30am until 5.00pm each day. Students realise the importance of working hard at school and at home and arriving to school on time.
You will shortly be receiving your child's Year 13 report through the post and this includes their most recent progress grades and a paper copy of the exam timetable. Progress grades will be closely monitored by the Sixth Form team and where required, further intervention and support for specific students will be put in place in January 2015.
I trust that the students will prepare thoroughly for their approaching mock exams from January 12th 2015. These exams are very important in terms of being the final formal trial that students will have before their summer examinations and I wish them every success in their preparations. I look forward to seeing Year 13 back at school on Monday January 5th 2015 at the normal time.
Thank you for all your continued support. It is really appreciated.
Head of Year 13
