Last night thirteen students from Year 10 and 12 went to the OXO tower for a dark and entertaining evening of Philip Pullmans adaptation of five Grimm's fairy tales. Spread across six floors, we knew this wasn't going to be an ordinary performance. Each room had a different atmosphere created through the sensory design; wood chip floors, smells of burnt rubber, eerie sounds, light bulbs scattering the ceiling and a whole host of props to set the scene. Ranging from Hansel and Gretel to the Princess and the Frog, The audience sat in traverse were moved from room to room to experience these extraordinary dark tales. This innovative promenade performance is well worth a watch!
