We would like to invite Year 12 parents to an information evening where you can find out about the process of applying to university and how you can support your child in this process.
Tuesday 10th February at 6.00pm
I would like to invite Year 12 parents to an information evening where you can find out about the process of applying to university and how you can support your child in this process.
This evening will be a valuable opportunity to find out how UCAS works, why apply to university in the first place, the financial implications and how you can help your child with their application. I will be outlining how the Sixth Form team will guide and support your child as well as providing you with the timescale for when university applications are due in. I will also introduce you to Mrs Sowa, our specialist UCAS and Enrichment Advisor who will explain how she helps students with this whole process. Furthermore there will be information available on Oxbridge applications. There has been much news about universities and fees in the press, this evening will attempt to make sense of it all!
This evening is primarily aimed at parents, students will receive this information through school assemblies, tutor time and workshops. However should they wish to attend, they are more than welcome.
The evening will begin with a presentation at 6.00pm followed by questions and the Sixth Form team will be on hand to provide advice. If you arrive early, there will be refreshments in the dining area from 5.30pm.
I really look forward to seeing you on the night.
If you have any questions about this evening please contact Mrs Sowa on 0208 575 8222 ext. 521.
Year 11 parents are most welcome too.
Ms J Somrah
Director of Sixth Form
