On Monday 6th and Tuesday 7th July, thirty students from years 7, 8 and 9 took part in a CyberMentor Training Programme. The programme was run in partnership with Greenford High School along with two external trainers. Over the two days our students participated in group activities sharing their learning and ideas for developing their roles within our school.
In September, the students will be working with all year groups supporting students who have any concerns with social networking sites. The work will involve paired mentoring meetings, lunchtime drop in sessions and promotional work around the school. They will also be supporting students in school to make friends along with helping them make a positive contribution to their school days.
The CyberMentors graduated on day two, they were awarded a certificate and badge to wear. I would like to thank those who took part for their fantastic efforts and for showing great dedication to their work. I am really looking forward to seeing all the amazing work they will be doing in our school community in the future.
