Mental Health and Well-Being

As we start to recover from the effects of the pandemic, it is more important than ever that we all take extra care to look after our children’s mental health and wellbeing.

With local mental health support services having lengthy waiting lists, the school has increased its counselling provision to the equivalent of 6 days per week Please click here for more information on the school counselling service. In addition to this, we have also formed a partnership with the Ealing Mental Health Support Team who have allocated us an Educational Wellbeing Practitioner, to provide one to one support to our students once a week.

Support for Families

Speak CAMHS Helpline – Is a free local service that provides immediate talking support, basic counselling and advice for children, young people and families who are in significant distress. Please click here for more information.

Whilst counselling and one to one support is important for those individuals in need, one of the important messages we have been trying to convey to all of our students is that they can take affirmative steps to help improve their own mental health. Please click here for more information.

‘Wellbeing Wednesday’ is another initiative that was developed during lockdown and has continued as a weekly tutor activity and is designed to give students a better understanding of mental health and different approaches they can take to manage feelings such as anxiety or low mood.
