Caritas St Joseph’s

During Lent, our Year 10 and 11 students generously collected Easter eggs which were delivered to Caritas St Joseph’s. This was part of our ongoing commitment to community outreach and supporting those in need. Caritas St Joseph’s is a warm and welcoming centre that supports adults with intellectual and physical disabilities. It offers a wide range of creative and practical courses—from cooking and gardening to art and carpentry—designed to build confidence, independence, and life skills. The team at St Joseph’s is passionate about inclusion and community, helping learners grow in a supportive environment while celebrating each person’s unique gifts.

As part of the visit, students had the unique opportunity to engage in workshops alongside the adult learners at St Joseph’s. They were also given a guided tour of the facilities, by Gail Williams, Head of St Joseph's, and gained valuable insight into the inspiring work carried out by the team. The experience was both eye-opening and enriching, highlighting the importance of compassion, service, and lifelong learning.

We are incredibly proud of our students for their thoughtful contributions and respectful engagement throughout the visit.
