Dear Parent / Carer,

I am writing this letter to inform you that your son/daughter will have their End of Year Progress Test for Science during their exam week. The test will be comprised of one paper, 50 minutes long, covering all topics from this year:

• Cells
• Body systems
• Particles
• Elements
• Forces
• Sound
• Light
• Reproduction

The date informing you of which science lesson your child will be assessed in, will be given later on, and students will be putting this information on to their exam timetable grid.

Please remember that all pupils have access to ‘SHAREPOINT’ and ‘Kerboodle’, which I would strongly encourage them to utilise:

The Science department KS3 folder on SHAREPOINT has boardworks presentations and test-style revision questions with answers for each topic.

Students in year 7 should be looking at the Activate 1 – blue book.

These tests will be an important indication to the Science Department of progress and need to be attempted with maximum effort.
