The Cardinal Wiseman Catholic School

Uniform Consultation Meeting

Parents are invited to a consultation evening to discuss possible changes to the school uniform on Monday 25th June at 6:00pm in the School Hall.

Dear Parents

As we move into the second half of the BSF building programme I am planning, with governors and staff, how we capitalise upon our ‘new’ school.
We are currently working hard to improve existing strategies that will continue to enhance teaching and learning for students. Another area that we are seeking to improve is in our communication with families, both through the website and a ‘virtual learning’ site where parents and students can access homework and other extended learning opportunities.
In reviewing our work it is right that we look at all aspects of school life. Our uniform is the public face of Cardinal Wiseman. I have a sentimental attachment to the current uniform – it is the uniform worn by my two brothers forty years ago as they left Our Lady of the Visitation. However, the world moves on and in line with the delivery of a ‘new’ school it might be a good time to consider a new look to our uniform.
Mr Walton has worked with our uniform suppliers and between them, they have two uniforms that we believe, have the potential to improve the appearance of our students.
I would therefore invite parents to look at the possible alternatives, and ensure that their views are noted, on Monday 25th June 2012 at 6:00pm in the School Hall.
If you are unable to make the above date, and would like to express a view then please write to me c/o
Kind regards
Michael Kiely
