Wiseman Triumph

Wiseman beats Eton in debating competition and our pupils were hailed as the 'nicest' at the competition
Students from Cardinal Wiseman have triumphed in the Eton College Junior Invitational Debating Competition. Year 10 students Aoife MacElhatton and James Golbourn came first in both of their debates, quashing public school opponents from the likes of Wellington and Eton College to top the tab and claim overall victory in the competition.
Alison Murphy, one of the teachers who accompanied the students to the competition, says, ‘Our host commented on our children's behaviour being 'impeccable' and a teacher from another school said that our pupils were the 'nicest' at the competition. It was a wonderful evening for our students in which our hosts, Eton College, made our school and every other school feel most welcome.’
